Rammed Earth Bench v.7

Day 7 – the big day!! Applying form oil (i.e. vegetable oil), delivery of the gold fines and paving sand (for the brick patio), and group-effort mixing and tamping.  Hope this works!

Penny’s Pondering

I debated whether to post a really cute picture of my dog… or something with a little more insight into my life.  Here is a picture of Penny observing the pool in my parents’ backyard.  She’s a desert dog, who I’m pretty sure can’t swim, and who I’m pretty sure has never seen a pool before our move to California.  My biggest gripe (and I’m sure Penny’s) with the backyard is its utter lack of grass.  My favorite part is the persimmon tree behind the patio furniture, which will undoubtedly be documented some time in the near future.
