Upon recommendation of Fitocracy (a quest!), I went for a 10K bike ride.
I feel like I’m the only person who hasn’t been across the
San Mateo Dr bike bridge…so today was the day!
Along the way, passed the Esther B. Clark School – fun finds outside. :)

I’m thankful for – Day #3 – The Stanford campus.
As much as I bitch and moan about “The Bubble” (my interest in avoiding Stanford actually goes much further back)… I couldn’t be a luckier person, with all the great people and experiences that Stanford has allowed me over the years. Studying abroad, meeting some BFFs, working at the hospital, living in Abrams, jujitsu, Henning!
So lucky indeed. <3

We woke up this morning off the coast of Dubrovnik, Croatia. Yes, it is as beautiful as we’ve heard it would be…!
Henning and I went on a morning bike ride in the Konavle region (~south east tip of Croatia)… it was a true treat.

Henning and I have really been looking forward to visiting Pompeii. We decided to make the trek from Naples to Pompeii our own…
…after nearly getting run over by traffic a few times, we managed to each incur a 40-euro fine on the light rail…
(the transit authority thankfully only wrote us one…)

Pompeii was buried under ash from a Mt. Vesuvius eruption almost 2000 years ago. Many of the buildings, structures, objects and art were well-preserved under the ash, and have since been excavated.

…I know this is kind of creepy… but even people and dogs were preserved to some degree…
