The Last Spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven not far from Revelstoke in Craigellachie, British Columbia in 1885, completing the tracks of Canada’s first transcontinental railroad.
Rented bikes and went on an off-road adventure…
Drove Meadows to the Sky Parkway (16 miles) up to the top off Mount Revelstoke. We’ve heard that the view is beautiful, but unfortunately, the smoke from the nearby fires blocked the views today. Would also have been nice if someone had told us that Balsam Lake at the top would be dry by August!
Exploring the Nels Nelson Hill (ski jump) area…
Black slug!!!
Have to rave about this place in Revelstoke that we went to for lunch AND dinner. Indian-German fusion!! Must try if you’re in the area.
